Richard H. LaPenta
President, CEO of Insurance & Financial Services, Ltd.

Richard LaPenta, C.I.C., A.R.M., is a partner of Insurance & Financial Services, Ltd., one of the largest insurance brokerage agencies in the tri-state region. A native Delawarean and graduate of Widener University, he has earned Certified Insurance Consultant and Associated Risk Management designations.
Very active in the state and in his local community, Mr. LaPenta serves on the Board of Directors for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and on the Political Action Committee for the Delaware Contractors Association. In addition to a four-year term on the New Castle County Council, he has participated as board member or advisor on numerous nonprofit organization boards, including:

   • Greenville-Centreville Rotary Club as president
   • National Conference of Christians and Jews as chairman of the
     board
   • Goodwill Industries as board member and capital campaign
     committee
   • YMCA Resource Center as chairman of the board
   • Hockessin Montessori as chairman of the board
   • West End Neighborhood House on the board of directors
   • March of Dimes on the fundraising committee
Richard Shryock
Assistant Vice President of Insurance & Financial Services, Ltd.

Richard Shryock, C.I.C., has obtained the Certified Insurance Consultant designation and is in the process of earning an Associated Risk Management designation as well. His experience includes marketing and underwriting of commercial property/casualty insurance as well as life and health insurance.
After IFS acquired the Harry S. Wilson Agency in 1996, Mr. Shryock managed the Focus team of small business accounts. He served on the leadership team of Business Network International in Newark and on boards of directors for three nonprofit organizations. In conjunction with Aon Huntington Block, he created a Directors and Officers Liability Insurance Program for the YWCA Mid-Atlantic Regional Council.

In 2001, Mr. Shryock began working directly with Mr. LaPenta to form a new social services insurance program. He continues to participate in meetings and activities of the Delaware nonprofit community.
